Taking place at either Palm Beach or Manly Beach, Seniors and over 55s are invited to join a Bodyboarding and Ocean Safety Clinic, designed to help you connect with the ocean and boost your confidence in the water.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from the best and join a welcoming community of ocean lovers.

Arrive 30 minutes early to change into the provided wetsuits before the session starts.
Sponsored by Surfers for Climate, MWP Community Care, and Manly Surf School, you don’t want to miss these bi-weekly bodyboarding sessions. This is a great chance to meet others in the community, enjoy the surf, and embrace the ocean with confidence.
Frequently Asked Questions
We offer lessons 7 days a week, even throughout winter. Lesson times vary depending on the type of lesson and the location you are looking for. To find out the specific lesson times refer to the lesson pages below:
- Bring a swimsuit & towel
- Wear clothes suited to the weather on the day, and wear lots of sunscreen
- Don’t forget a camera to document the fun you’ll have
- Low tide is best for beginners.
- High tide is only for strong swimmers.
- Everyday the 9am Adult Group Lesson we will take people into unbroken waves on low tide and high tide.
We offer different package deals for private lessons and for group lessons. Payment is required upfront and packages expire after 12 months.
Package deals are for individuals only and cannot be shared.
We provide surfboards and wetsuits required for all lessons.
Surfboards
Manly Surf School exclusively use the soft, fun, safe surfboards named Softboards. Made by Ocean and Earth, and NSP. These boards are constructed from A-grade polyethethylene with a high density slick bottom, non rash decking material and soft fins. Softboards provide a completely safe surfing experience compared to hard fibreglass surfboards.
Surfing NSW endorses using Softboard designs for safety, durability and performance.
Wetsuits
We also provide Billabong wetsuits to keep you warm and comfortable all year round. Billabong are the industry leaders in wetsuit design and manufacturing and their wetsuits are soft, flexible and easy to wear even if you’ve never worn a wetsuit before.

You can use our online booking system with the links below. Once you have clicked on the location you will be required to create a user profile (If you already have an account you can login using your existing profile information). Once you have created a profile you will be able to select a lesson date and then a lesson time subject to availability. You can then confirm the booking via online payment.
